VersityFinds – Terms of Use

1. Introduction

Welcome to VersityFinds, a South African-based online marketplace connecting buyers, sellers, and delivery drivers. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions, along with our General User Policy, Seller Policy, Driver Policy, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Delivery Personnel Policy.

2. Eligibility to Use the Site

To use VersityFinds, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old or have parental/legal guardian consent.
• Be legally capable of entering binding contracts.
• Comply with all applicable South African laws and these terms.

3. Account Registration & Responsibility

Users (buyers, sellers, or drivers) must register with accurate personal details. Sellers and delivery drivers require approval from VersityFinds before account activation. This process may take 1–5 working days.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Any activity under your account is your responsibility.

4. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

• Sell illegal, restricted, or prohibited items including alcohol, used toiletries, second-hand wearable items, or clothing.
• Use the platform for fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful activities.
• Harass or impersonate others, hack the site, or interfere with its operation.
• Circumvent our pricing or payment systems.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, branding, media, logos, and intellectual property on VersityFinds belong to VersityFinds or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any content without prior written consent.

6. Product Listings and Content

Sellers must ensure that all products listed are accurate, legal, and of acceptable quality. VersityFinds reserves the right to approve, reject, or remove product listings. Businesses must submit original pricing, but VersityFinds may adjust prices to cover platform fees.

7. Payment Terms

All buyer payments are processed through Paystack via VersityFinds. Sellers must request withdrawals, which will be managed by VersityFinds. Sellers may be subject to monthly subscriptions or commission fees. No cash transactions are allowed.

8. Dispute Resolution

VersityFinds will provide assistance for disputes related to orders, deliveries, or product issues. Initial resolution is handled internally. If unresolved, legal escalation may follow South African legal procedures.

9. Limitation of Liability

VersityFinds is not liable for:

• Loss or damage caused by third-party sellers or drivers.
• Misuse of the platform.
• Service delays, bugs, or unforeseen events.

10. Termination of Access

We may suspend or permanently terminate accounts due to:

• Violations of these Terms or other policies
• Fraud, abuse, or repeated complaints

Pending transactions may be processed. Data is retained under privacy regulations.

11. Force Majeure

VersityFinds shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by events outside its control, including natural disasters, internet failures, regulatory changes, strikes, pandemics, or similar emergencies.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and aligned with POPIA compliance.

13. Policy Updates

We may modify these Terms anytime. Continued use of the platform implies acceptance of updated terms.
